POLICE are appealing for information about a suspected bogus meter reader who called at a house in Gaywood, Lynn, yesterday (Thursday).
The incident happened in Beaumont Way, Marlborough Park, at about 2.30pm. The householder became concerned when the caller asked to read the electricity meter but failed to show correct identification.

He was described as chubby with a rosy complexion and short, blond hair and wearing a grey jumper. He was also wearing a tag around his neck but with no photograph attached and was carrying what appeared to be a meter reader.

Anyone who saw the man or was approached by him is asked to contact Lynn Police, 0845 456 4567.
